Is my motherboard compatible with this new processor?

Hi im new with computer hardware and am looking to up grade my processor from an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6850 @ 3.00GHz too an Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 ) The problem is i have no idea what my motherboard is or how to check it and post it to see if it is compatible. Im running in 32 bit vista as my operating system

Your CPU is socket 775 whereas i5 is 1155 socket...so you need new motherboard

you would need atleast a new motherboard and maybe ram.
