Macintosh wifi switches to neighbor

Hello,

My Mac's wifi switches to my neighbor's every time I turn it on, so then I have to manually switch it back. Anybody know how to fix this?

On the PC the wireless setup utility will save a profile of settings for the connection that it will return to automatically each time you restart the computer. Look for a similar facility to save your settings on the Mac.

For anyone looking, I found the correct answer on a Mac board... here it is:

On your Mac, open System Preferences (gear icon) on the dock and open Network. Click on AirPort, then click Advanced at the lower right of the window.

Make sure that the name of your preferred network is at the top of the connection list. If not, drag it to that position.

Click OK, then click Apply
