Upgrading my pc for gaming !!

My current spec are:
Intel Motherboard DG31PR
Intel Core2Duo E7400 2.80 Ghz
2 gb DDR2 ram
Nvidia Geforce 9400 GT 1 Gb
Two hdds one of 320 Gb & other of 1 Tb
DVD RW
Iball smsp (I don't know how much watt, but I know the model no. : LPE233-400 )

Now I want to upgrade this pc to meet the needs of current pc games.
With this spec also I'm able to play all the HD games but at higher resolution games start lagging.

Even if possible I don't want to change my processor.
So please recommend me some stuff.....

Upgrade your GPU that is the biggest bottleneck! With a new PSU you should be able to handle up to GTX460 or HD6850. Another 2GB of ram would be a good idea if you have 64bit OS.

Can u suggest a good mobo, as I need to have ddr3 ram....

If you are interested in changing your mobo to something with DDR3 memory support then might as well look to change the processor (in other words platform upgrade). For meeting latest game demands you will need to upgrade your video card which will definitely require a PSU upgrade.
