Upgrade Mobo for Phenom 940?

ASUS M4A78-EM AM3/AM2+
8 Gig Ram

I appear to be getting some pretty slow performance running After Effects and Premiere. Sometimes the write speed to my HD's is way slow. I can't afford a cpu/mobo/ram upgrade right now, but wondering if I can just upgrade my mobo for now and that would help? Seems like this CPU should still be able to rock out.

Also just bought a WD Caviar Black to replace an old HD - so that should help too.

I was going to suggest getting a faster hard drive if you had a slow one. I don't think that changing the MB will solve any performance problems as it doen't really contribute much to performance.
