3 Monitors on Hd 5770 non gaming

I was thinking of buying a hd 5770 to support more than 2 displays

I have 3 monitors 2 h233h by acer 1 23inch hanspree

I know the hd 5770 supports 3 monitors but i haven't been able to find a concise answer on the display port issues. None of my monitors have display ports. They all have hdmi dvi and vga.

My question is will the hd 5770 support these monitors for non gaming use web browsers and text documents. and what adapters will i have to buy.

Is the 5770 the best card for this setup? ( would like to stay under 150 for the graphics card if possible ) i do sometimes game on one monitor though.

Thanks in advance for your help

More about monitors 5770 gaming
  1. the 5770 will be more than enough for non gaming web browsing and text documents...
but to get ur three monitors to work the third monitor HAS to be plugged in the display port...
if u have two dvi; one hdmi; and one display port hooking ur three monitors on the dvis and hdmi wont work...
has to be 2 dvis one dp or 1 dvi 1 hdmi one dp
  2. dont know if that card will handle gaming when there are three monitors hooked up to it...
depends on what kind of gaming you will be doing
  3. would this work for the adapter http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CSRFD8/ref=oss_product

planning on running 2 dvi and one hdmi no audio through the hdmi though
  4. What types of games are you playing when you do play games?

You might not even need to spend that much on a graphics card if you only going to use it for web surfing and viewing documents.
I would suggest either a 5570 or 5670.Both can do eyefinity.

    5570=$70

  5. I play some cod4 on one monitor every now and then i might buy need for speed not huge into gaming though
  6. You could max out the settings in need for speed and maybe high settings with COD4 with a 5570 or 5670.If you got a 5770 at your level of gaming it would probably last you a couple years. If your more about internet browsing and document viewing then 5670 or 5570 would be the way to go,although you might ge some reduced FPS and settings in games.

I just bought an HD 5770 with the 5 mini displayports that will run up to 5 monitors. Because I trade stocks I use 4 monitors. For the first 2 monitors you can use a passive mini displayport to DVI cable. For the 3rd 4th and 5th monitors you will need to get this adapter for each of the additional monitors. This card is awesome!

  8. I was thinking

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-447-_-Product for the video card

    2 h233h acer monitors at 1920x1080 (sides)
    1 hf229h hanspree monitor at 1680x1050 (center)

was going to use dvi for the sides (acer) and hdmi for the center using http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002CSRFD8/ref=oss_product

Please if someone could confirm that would work with the different resolutions
  9. It should work, different resoultions don't really matter.I guess a 5770 is better in the long run,but if your only going to use 1 monitor and don't play many games a 5670 might suit you better.
  10. Thanks for the minimal difference in price i would get the better card since i might wind up play more than i do now call of duty resloution is 800x 600 i have a feeling the better graphics might keep me playing longer

It might even be possible to play COD4 on the lowest settings and be able to use the Eyefinity setup with the 5770.Actually think the 5770 is the better choice, but if you could stretch your budget maybe an extra $50 this 2G GTX460 would last you a long time. It's also perfect becaues it has lots of RAM which is good for running eyefinity setup. You could actually play COD4 with all 3 monitors and have it on high settings.

I normaly wouldn't reccomend Sparkle, but every review for it has been postive so far.
