Ati Hd 6850 problem

Hello,

I just built a Pc with the following specs:

Gigabyte 890fxa- ud5 mb
8gigs of ram running at 1333
and Ati hd6850 1 gb

And I have the following problem, whenever I power up the system( not reboot) the display is messed up, during boot I cannot make out what my screen says, but when I reboot it is normal. I am also facing a difficulty installing windows, and I think catalyst isn't working well, due to the fact it was responsible for system instability... It stuck the system.
I have connected it correctly and with the extra power needed... Please help

What kind of psu do you have in the system, Try making out the message more details would greatly help here.

It is a 700 watts thermaltake

take out the graphics card and re-seat it back in the pcie slot. Try another pcie slot. Try re-seating ram. If that doesnt fix it you probbably have a faulty gfx card.
