I currently have 2 2 gigs can I add two 4 gigs or do they ALL have to be two gigs? If you have 4 slots, you should be able to have 10 gigs. This is just theory, as I can't tell you for sure without knowing what motherboard you have. If you still have the manual, it should tell you how memory can be arranged. | Report abuse Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Motherboards>Upgrading Ram> Related ressources: ForumNeed help regarding upgrading RAM ForumHP Pavilion DM3 - Only 1 Ram detected after upgrading to Windows 7 64bit ForumHelp upgrading RAM ForumBetter performance/fps by upgrading to a better mainboard, and from 4gb ddr2 ram ForumBug with my 7670m after upgrading ram ForumUpgrading my graphics card and ram ForumUpgrading RAM and Graphic Card for lenovo laptop ?
