Dual graphics cards vs single

Hello,
Can I use an existing built in VGA card along with a PCI graphics card to extend one of them to the desktop to enable projection onto one screen but retain the master on the other. e.g. when using projection software.

not sure what projection software is, but yeah, you can use the onboard vga and the pci graphics at the same time. Just plug a monitor into each one.
