Gaming PC

I want to put a gaming PC together for my wife from scratch. ( From the case up.) Now I do not know anything about gaming PCs but I have looked on line and they cost like a lot. I'm not sure what kind of gaming they do but my wife goes online and plays Big Fish Games. Now that you know this maybe I do not need a gaming PC just a well built PC. I have two PC cases I can work with. One is a Dell Dimension 2400 and the other is a HP Pavilion a750w. Both hard drives have crashed on me. If these are too old lets start from scratch. Or if someone knows a website I can go to that would be good too. I really need help with this one. Thanks
