I'd choose the gigabyte over asus, but that's because I'm in the middle of replacing a failing asus with a well liked gigabyte board, so my "small sample set" makes this an inexperienced opinion really.

I agree with sosofm about the PSU, and would strongly recommend the Seasonic. Those are reliable, quiet PSUs - well worth the money.
