Hey guys just wondering on opinions and suggestions for my new $2000 gaming rig with a bit of audio editing
I want to play games like crysis 2 DOW II unreal tournament etc in the best graphics possible I wud prefer to stay with AMD and ati but other than that all suggestions welcome
I already have a 27inch full HD monitor, keyboard, speakers mouse, optical drive and os
I would also like to occasionally try these games out on my new Sony LED HD 55inch TV with respectable performance if possible
Cheers for the feedback
(p's i live in aus)

+1, especially one from Thermaltake.
It seems like everything I've ever owned w/ the Thermaltake label on it is louder than it needs to be.

I think if you spent took the $324 you had planned for CPU/MB and spent it on an Intel build you would get better performance for that money, and it would be a motherboard socket that will still be in use 2 years from now.
The 955 black is not a bad choice if you have a specific brand loyalty, but you can do better.

Also, as a *red alert* type item, I don't think that CP-850 power supply (which is 'CPX' form factor) will fit in that case.
Try this case instead which is probably a better case, for half the money, and it fits that PS.

Ah cheers or the PSU alert
Mm I didn't think u wud ever spend $315 on a case either, but just like the 6970's much of the reason was because it looks awesome (to me) and I can say haha I have one of these haha, childish I know but meh lol

As far as CPU/MB goes I know there r better intel chips that r an option but I plan on over clocking it and the cores speed, and motherboard speeds are for about what I wud use it (I think haha although I'm sure on at least one point I'm wrong hah
I'm confused tho because wont the next AM3+ sockets still support the AM3 and I don't think it will go out of use in two years or so
