About to buy a 6850..

I'm about to make a decision on buying a new video card. My last card (8800gtx) was a great card to have, but finally started hosing up my computer with random restarts..therefore I believe its time for an upgrade.

I wanted something fairly cheap as I'm 18, finishing high school working part time and have to spend my own cash of course..so I looked at Tom's reviews on video cards and showed the 6850 was the best for the money. I'm here to ask if there are any naysayers.

so any reason why a 6850 for a $180 price range isn't a smart choice? i'll mention that I am looking for a card with at least 2 DVI ports..

6850 or a gtx 460 would be a good choice

Rolli the sapphire does look promising..but some of the bad reviews also make me think otherwise. I've had some cards in the past arrive and not work properly at all. I was thinking maybe the Asus brand? it costs a tiny bit more, but they throw in a free headset and the overall review for that card is 5 eggs. Asus also bumps up the core clock just a teeeeny bit

I just picked a cheap one from a brand I trust. The Asus is a great card and I would not hesitate to buy it!

You should have waited for the DirectCu to come in stock.
It is quite better.
