I play FPS games a lot(BFBC2). I also listen to quite a lot of music.
My speakers are from Logitech 5.1 surround.
Can anyone suggest any ideas to me?

Thanks

What motherboard do you have, usually anymore most motherboards comes with 5.1 if not 7.1.

Im currently using Asus Rampage 3 extreme. But 3 days ago, when i started up my computer after a re-build, there was a pop and some smoke came out of my case. After that, my sound system is just gone. so i assume I've fried my sound chip, thus wanting a new sound card.

Wow. I'd check if the MB has a warranty. Using a partly fried board doesn't seem like good idea. It could hurt the rest of youur hardware as well. You don't know what else is fried and when the next malfunction will happen.
