I5 2500k not oc with cooler master 212 high temperatures

Hi just a quick question please. I have the 2500k on stock and im running prime95 and its giving me on max 98deg.
This surprised me cuz im using a cooler master 212. Does anyone have any ideas whats going on I was looking forward to OC this processor. Thanks

8gb gskill ram
antec 300 case
500watt ocz psu
hd 5770 vid card

Are you sure you put the heatsink on right? Did you...use thermal compound? Just checking the big problems that it could be. I go by this for TC:

What are your ambients, and do you have any pictures of your setup?

Are you sure that's an actual temp reading (presumably in degrees Celius?), and not merely the max temp allowed before some sort of throttling ocurs?

What is the temp at idle?

Did you clean off old thermal compound, and apply new compound thinly but evenly when attaching the new heat sink?

Weird when I oc'd the processor and played arround with the voltage settings I was able to get decent temps max temps at 70 on prime95. Thanks guys
