Just installed 12 gigs of ram on 64 bit Vista not all showing physical
Feb 18, 2012, 7:16 PM
I have 12 gigs of ram that I have just installed (Upgraded from 3) however now my PC is only reading it as 4 Gigs after two restarts and I am unsure why
12.0 GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 535MHz (7-7-7-19)
MSI MSI X58 PLATINUM SLI(MS-7522)
I've already verified that their wasn't a limit checked in MSCONFIG and per the manufacturer website the board can support upto 24 Gigs.
Any advice would be appreciated

bios reads all 12?

I'm 90% sure it was (though I must admit I'm not very knowledgeable with bios configs) that said, reseating the RAM resolved the issue.
