I have the following:

M/B - GA890GPA UD3H
CPU - AMD Phenom 11 X4 955 BE
RAM - 8 GB (2x4 GB) Mushkin Silverline DDR3 1333
H/D - WD Caviar Black 1T Sata 111
PSU - Corsair TX 650
DVD - Sony Sata
Monitor - 24" LG 2442 PA-BF 2 ms

I am retired and looking at digital picture and video editing (consumer not professional) and mild gaming - grandchildren. I am currently using the 256 MB integrated graphics on the M/B.

I am thinking of an ATI 5670. Will that meet my needs and work with the above setup. Should I be looking at something higher up the chain.

Thanks in advance

That should be fine. I assume your grandchildren are relatively young. Buy the 512MB version instead of the 1GB version since there is virtually no performance difference. Here's a HD 5670 512MB for $65 after a $15 rebate:

If they are a little older, in the teens, then they would probably appreciate a faster, more powerful video card whether they play first person shooters or games like World of Warcraft. The HD 5770 is a much better card and it is also aggressively price. You can buy it for $100 after a $30 rebate:

In between the HD 5670 and the HD 5750, but the price difference between the HD 5750 and HD 5770 is only about $5 - $10 after rebates, so it makes more sense to spend a little bit more for a card that is more powerful.
