PCIe 3.0 slots are backward compatible with 2.0 cards.

Both are good boards, although I would opt for the ASRock as it is Z68; personally I like the ASUS P8Z68V, have used 4 or 5 for builds and they perform great, and have x8/x8 PCIe slots rather than the usual x16/x4 for many budget boards, which allows dual GPU or RAID cards with higher performance.
