Hello,

I can't wake up my machine after being put into sleep. It tries to switch on for a second or two (the led lids up, DVD drive is powered on, etc.) but then goes back to sleep/shutdown for a second or two and comes back trying for another second or two, and so forth. I've tried both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10. I've also tried unplugging the DVD drive. All to no avail.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 iX48. Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks

Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
