Do i need a hd monitor to support the ati hd 5770 ?

hi... im buildng a new rig. i thought of buying the ati radeon hd 5770. currently i dont have a hd moniter with me. im thinking of buying a hd moniter in the near future! till then can i support the hd 5770 card with my current crt moniter? thanx.

Any monitor will run with the card, you will just be limited with the display quality the monitor offers. You can probably connect a 480x600 monochrome crt to the thing if you want.
