Hi jerreece, Problem fixed! I felt I had nothing to lose, so I flashed the bios and bam! the pc is up and running. I have no idea how the bios got corrupted, but its now operational. I noticed one small glitch on boot up and reboot, it sounds like the dvd making a clunking sound for maybe 5or6 times before the monitor activates. Any thoughts on this? Its not real loud, I can hear the drive spin up, the light on the monitor will blink in tjme with the clunking then will boot up. Thanks Old fa_t. And thanks to Tom's hardware forum.

go into bios and make only the hard drive your only boot up device.
probably the computer is trying to boot from your dvd then goes to hard drive.

I hope I don't offend anybody.
All religions and faiths are to be respected.
And people have a right to NOT have any religion if they choose.
Just because I am a Christian doesn't mean everybody has to be one.
