CPU identity......

hello friends,
I have recently installed 64-Bit XP.I have checked my CPU by typing DXDIAG in RUN command.
It shows my CPU as Intel Pentium 3 Xeon processor (2CPUS) although i am having Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz.
Are these two same
OR
why it is so?

Its showing as 2 cpu's because you have two cores,
possibly the bios needs revising to a newer version as yours may not know of the e7500's existance,
if you download cpu-z it will confirm if you have the E7500
