Serious USB issues

Hi all,

I'm having a real problem with my USB ports. They're USB 2.0 but I get pretty slow speeds through them (4-5mb/sec). On the older laptop I get 13+mb/s using the same devices. I have no idea what's causing this. I've tried taking everything off of the ports except the thing I need (and the mouse) but it made no difference.

Any suggestions?

What speeds are you getting thru the rear usb ports? I've seen several boards with only usb1.1 front ports and thats what it sounds like you have.
