Hello, I'm building a multimedia designer computer and I'm at the stage of finalizing it.

Budget: $4000 - $5000 ($5000 is pushing it a bit)

Usage: Current multimedia programs (HD video and music editing, dreamweaver, fireworks, burning dvd + blue-ray etc)

I'm looking for a good case to suit a multimedia designer. I need at least 6 USB ports (USB 3.0 if possible)

Also, these are the computer components I have so far:
CPU: Core i7-950
Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E
RAM: 6G Kit 1600 Patriot-Viper2
Hard Drive 1:Iomega Prestige 3.5” / 2TB
Hard Drive 2: Iomega Prestige 3.5” / 2TB
GPU: Asus Geforce GTX 850
Optical Drive: SONY Optiarc BD-5300S 5.25" Internal Serial-ATA Blu-Ray DVD Writer (BD5300SOB), OEM
PCI,PCI-E I/O Card: Ritmo USB 3.0
Monitor 1: 27” HDMI DVI AOC V27M
Monitor 2: 27” HDMI DVI AOC V27M
Headphones: eDimensional Audio FX Pro
Power Supply: Aero cool E85-700

Does anybody have and suggestions on things I should change?

This is for a year 11 assignment. I'm new at this, so just bear with me :p (I generally stick to software)

So is this good, and if not what are some suggestions.

This is for a professional multimedia designer.

Thanks, please answer quick.

GTX580 I think you mean

Why are you buying external 2GB drives? Get the Samsung Spinpoint F4 2TB internal instead.

Get a 2600K

and this motherboard:

the motherboard can handle 2 graphics cards.

a single 580 can use 520W supply, 700W is needed for SLI. This Kingwin got good reviews, its 80+ Gold for excellent efficiency.

alternately, this XFX 750 will work as will:

I like the Rosewill Destroyer case for $50, it can...

but cases are subjective. I wouldn't exceed $100 on a case.

I would add a 120 GB SSD as a boot drive

and I'd get at leat 8 GB of DDR3. 16 f you really need more, one or two of these will do:

No computer will EVER last 11 years without feeling very slow compared o nwer machines. I'd expect 5 years of quality out of this
