  1. You can put a low profile card. With out knowing the size of the PSU it is hard to recommend cards. If you have a 250watt PSU you could get away with something like this HD4650 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102829

    Apparently that model has a 275W PSU and a PCI-Express x16 slot.

    Specs here:

The HD 4650 has a minimum 400W recommendation. I think it's too risky on a PSU rated 275W.

Consider a HD 4550 instead. That one has 4 times fewer stream processors than the HD 4650 but should still be better than the integrated video you had. It has a 300W recommendation. Still risky but less.

Edit: the second one (Gigabyte) has DDR3, while the XFX has DDR2. I'd pick the Gigabyte.
  3. Manufacturers rating is based on crappy generic PSU's the max power consumption of the HD4650 is around 50watts and total system would be less than 200 watts. Here they show 4670 which needs more power at 169watts total system under load http://www.anandtech.com/show/2917/13
