This will be my first machine in 6 years, so neeedless to say I'm overdue. I plan on buying everything either today or the next few days from newegg.

I would appreciate any suggestions/input from the community here. This is going to be first and foremost a gaming machine. I'd like to keep the price around $1200 or less. I plan on buying a display here locally , with my resolution being at 1920x 1080. I have the storage, OS, and DVD drive taken care of already.

Here is what I have so far

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

GIGABYTE GV-R695D5-2GD-B Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Antec TruePower New TP-650 650W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE ...

RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEB 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case

Will I notice a difference if I pay the extra money for the better timed RAM? Or is the 9-9-9-24 ok?

How do you all feel about the video card? Am I going overkill? Maybe a different manufacturer?

Thanks!
