I have a 4980 xfx card. i love it it suites me fine,i have a 6800gs from my old build.could i use the 6800gs as a physics card? with the ati.would it make any difference or am i wasting my not knowledgable with this stuff.

You need an 8 series card or newer to run PhysX. The 6800GS still uses the old Pixel/vertex shaders and therefore lacks the ability to run CUDA. If you had an old 8800GS you could do it. (with hacks of course.)
