Hpet mode

got a gigabyte g41mt-2sp moob, was looking around and see hpet mode 32 bit. Im using windows 7 64bit do i need to change it to that and what does it really do. Any performance ehance?

I would leave it alone, theoretically you may gain a very slight performance increase if it is set to 64 bit and the program uses the timer function Note you must have Vista or Windows 7 to use Hpet.
