Hey everyone,

I am going to be removing my motherboard soon to install a new cooler on my processor. I plan on removing everything but the RAM before i actually take it out of my case. Is that okay? To leave the RAM in the motherboard while installing the cooler? Just wondering. Thanks

I would remove the RAM, too, because
1) it sits close to the CPU (where you will be working to remove the current cooler and installing a new cooler), and
2) it is easy to remove (push down on the retaining clips at both ends of the sticks).

Agreed. I have spare parts right now to build another computer and i left the RAM seated in the DIMM slots but when i install the Motherboard to the case, i will take the ram out because just as treefrog said, you can mess your ram slots, or even warp your board from to much pressure.
