Minimum psu needed for my system?

i'm making a budget pc with a hd6870 gpu , i'm trying to shave off as much money on other supporting parts. what's the smallest/cheapest psu that will safely support this gpu? right now i'm looking at the antec gamer series 520 watt for 60$ , but i see some corsair cx430 for 15 bucks cheaper.. will those work? or should i stick with the antec

Yes that is a good Antec, (always reliable), but this one is better Single Rail 40 amps, SeasSonic unit. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371030 , same price.

You're trying to save money in the wrong place.

Yes, stick with the Anted HCG 520, it is a good choice. If your willing to get a more expensive, get at least 750w (some 650w) in case you want to Crossfire in the future.

get a 550 watt corsair or seasonic, or if your on a budged check out some of the antec or XFX ones. Take a look at the wattage on the 12v rail, some psu's say they have 500 watts, and they do, but on the 12v rail they may have only 380watts, chose a good psu. You can find antec's for $60, but for $80 you can find a nicer one.
