Can I replace a bad mother board without replacing processor?

I have come to realize I might have a bad mother board is it possible to replace it with out replacing the processor? I would be planning on getting the same mother board.

Yes, if you know how to install it. I recommend an esd strap to prevent static discharge damage when handling either the board/cpu/ram.
