I7 2600, which motherboard?
I do not do any gaming so not concerned about overclocking. This computer will have Slackware Linux. I will be using Gimp (kinda like Photoshop) and video editing. I do a lot of HD streaming from Netflix and other video sites. I prefer Gigabyte. Budget is $150.
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3 $154.99 ( before $10 MIR )
Supports SLI/Crossfire, has a slot for the SSD caching feature, supports PCIe3.0 with Ivy bridge CPU:s and the original version won a recommendation from Tom's HW.
This is the updated version with PCIe3.0 support.
Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 $117.99
In case the above is too rich for you or you don't want all the features. This MicroATX board has pretty much everything you would still need including PCIe3.0 support.
