WOL over internet?

What program or website can I use in order to successfully turn on my computer from another network that is not in the same private one. I have tried dtools.net and it worked for a little while, after I configured my own hostname and opened specified ports on my router but then it just stopped working. Locally in the same network I have no trouble starting the pc up. Any ideas?

the problem is not the tool you use, it's the way you configure your pc and router to receive the wake up signal over WAN, The problem is that using over the internet requires your router to forward packets to the broadcast address which most modern cheap routers do not do
