Hello,
i have compaq N620c, 68BAF family bios laptop, it boots from usb drive, formates c:, makes partitions, copies files, when restarts it displays "after restarting it displays "Non-system disk, replace & strike any key when ready". Please suggest.

Get into BIOS, & check if the hard drive is listed there. Look for boot order and change to HDD00 or HDD01.

I have installed windows xp-2 through USB Pan Drive. All the process completes formatting, copying of files, but when restarts the said message displays. I have looked for boot order first boot device as Hard Disk Drive.

It has not cd-rom, no floppy, hdd is in good working condition. can i install through lan? The usb installation failed.
