I'm a first- time builder diving in to build my own video editing machine. I've put together a parts list with my limited knowledge and help from others, just hoping to get some more expert opinions before ordering up the parts.

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K

Mobo: ASUS P8P67 PRO LGA 1155 SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 Supported Intel P67 DDR3 2400 ATX Motherboard

Boot drive: Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Storage drive: Seagate Barracuda XT ST32000641AS 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX470 1280 MB GDDR5 Video Card ENGTX470/2DI/1280MD5/V2

Case: COOLER MASTER Gladiator 600 RC-600-KKN1-GP Black SECC Body ; Mesh Front bezel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

I'm especially curious about RAM. The one I listed seems to be ok, but any help in that department would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anything here looks wrong please let me know! Thanks in advance.

From my point of view it looks fine, although for the same price I'd get a GTX 560Ti rather than the 470.
