Palit 9800GT 1GB with 2Molex Connector

my desktop pc sometimes blackouts (no display on the monitor) but the system fan is still running.. there is no response from the keyboard..

I was wondering if i have a power problem regarding the VidCard because the GPU (Palit 9800GT 1GB 256MB) has a 6pin with 2molex connector.. and i only connected my PSU on the video card's ONE molex connector..

do i need to connect both molex connector to my PSU??.. or should i leave it as it is (only 1 molex connector is connected)??..

thanks for your answer.. but i have a follow up question..

why does my VidCard work with having One Molex Connector instead of the two molex??..

BTW.. i already connected it both.. and its running fine without any blackouts as of now

It will work in 2D mode and maybe even a light 3D load might be possible with only one molex but as the molex's supplies the power to the six pin pcie socket connecting only one means your card is only getting 3/4 of the power it needs to run properly.
