Just bought a cooler master haf X case, moving over my gx 750w psu I want to make sure Im achieving the best air flow. I have it facing up currently. I just want feed back to validate my placement to put my mind to rest.

It's probably ok. My PSU blows on my graphics cards.

As long as your temps are ok, you can set your mind at ease. :)

Best to let the PSU fan cool the PSU. i.e. make it face downwards. Your case already has a good cooling scheme with its default fan setups.

No, it doesn't. The PSU fans all exhaust air from the case.

I do not think that it will make much difference. I have Antec 900 cases with bottom mounted power supplies. I orient the PSU's with the fan up. The combination of the lower front fan and the PSU does a great job cooling my hard drives. Exhaust air from the PSU is never more than 3 or 4 C (as measured with an electronic cooking thermometer) above ambient temps.
