Hello everyone!
I am looking to build a new system to replace my old computer, which died on me the other day. I have been considering a new system for some time, but now am in dire need of one. This will be my first build. Thanks in advance for any replies, hints, tips and suggestions.

Approximate Purchase Date: Imminent (next month latest)

Budget Range: Around US$1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, video editing, 3D modeling, animating and rendering, general use

Parts Not Required: Windows 7 64 bit, mouse, keyboard, speakers, storage hard drives and monitor

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg (haven’t used them before, but they seem to quite reputable), Amazon

Parts Preferences: Sandy Bridge CPU

Overclocking: Maybe (would like to have the option of CPU overclocking)

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe later (as an upgrade)

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200

Additional Comments: This will be my first build. I would like to stay to my budget ($1000 for parts), as I live in Bermuda, where import tax and shipping will add around $300+ to the total cost. Also, is the 2600k worth $100 more than the 2500k? Does hyperthreading make that much of a difference?
