HI this is my first post here im looking for some advise.

Im planning on buying an ASUS EAH6950/2DI2S/2GD5 grahpic card thers a link here to it. http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?p_id=dekcicifak0zpxuk
this will be the first up grade il have done to my HP Pavilion a6521.uk. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01491263&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=uk&product=3755666

I dont know if there will be any hassle sticking them together. i do know i will need a new power supply as my old one is 300watts. 750watts is prob what i need.
can anyone help me or point me in the direction of a power supply unit that will have the right connections to fit my mother board and new HD6950 along with anything els it might need to connect to in my pc

When you say first upgrade, I take it to mean you plan to further upgrade as money/needs come about. You might want to look at an 850W to future proof it against any further GPU or CPU and HDD upgrades. It does depend on how much you want to spend on the PSU and if you want to overclock in the future or anything like that.
I have the HD 6970 and plan to get another at a much later date and I have

powering mine.

However if you think that 750w will be fine for you, possibly use an online wattage calculator. then any corsair PSU would be fine I have never had any trouble with them.

Hope this has been some help.

850w is a good idea, im planning on putting another HD 6950 in after i figure out what motherboard and processer i should get in the future. is it straight forward to hook up a PSU to all the components? what connections should i be looking for? and which ones go to what piece of hardware?

i dont plan on doing any over clocking or running 10 HDDs. but crossfiring 2 HD6950s requires a 750w PSU, and if im upgrading my CPU and MOBO shouldnt i get with a bit more juice then 750w

If you feel it's necessary, but I don't. And I'm pretty sure you can run a system with two 6950s on a good 650W PSU. This 'opinion' is based on this review: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-6950-crossfirex-review/14
And knowing that most systems don't use up as much power as some people seem to think. Of course power consumption will be quite high when the system is stressed, but again for most people this is not that often. So if you someone runs very intensive programs for most hours out of a day, if not all day, then maybe more than 650w is necessary.

With my previous comment, I meant if you wanted those upgrade options as much as wanting to do it with your current build.
