Hey everyone. So I am going to be getting a gaming laptop soon and the question is about what graphic card to get. I am getting a Sager NP7280 built on a Clevo x7200 motherboard. My options are to double the 460 (since a single is a stock component), or get the new GTX 485M. I ruled out that I can't spend the money to get a SLI 485, it is over a thousand dollars to upgrade. Money is kind of and kind of not an issue meaning I will wait a little longer and save even though I want to get this laptop soon. To upgrade from the single to the SLI 460 would be $200 or i can upgrade to the single 485 for $495. What are your guys opinions on what I should get. I play games like Crysis, Diablo 3 (when it comes out at the end of this year), Black Ops and stuff. Should I wait longer to get the 485 or double the 460 is basically the question ? Thanks

460 sli is on par with single 485, so like you said if money is not an issue, you might get 485m, and leave that extra slot for future upgrade sli. the difference between the 2 460 and 485 is, 485m runs hotter than that 2 460, but x7200 model has good cooling enough for using 485m.

what settings do you prefer? if you're an enthusiast with money to burn then 485m is better with a higher TDP, if you're alright with high settings and bang for the buck then 460m sli is good enough for you.
