Background:
I recently bought two PGD38G1333ELK kits for my Asrock Pro3-M motherboard.

I was having BSOD's until I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic and found one of the sticks to be faulty.

I exchanged one of the kits for a new one. However, the new kit (same model number - PGD38G1333ELK ) is labeled 1.5V instead of 1.65V.

The machine will boot the 1.65V sticks but not the 1.5V sticks (individually, not trying to mix at this point). With the 1.5V sticks, I power on and then I get a restart about second later (repeating).

Question: Is it possible that both 1.5V sticks are bad? Or is it possible that the board is incompatible with the 1.5V ram? I'm stumped, and frustrated of course. :??:

Thanks!

Solution
Reset the BIOS and then all should run at 1.5V but the ram Speed may be lower than 1333..... for the 1.65V Pair it look like make be overclock from 1066 to 1333.... Try it first

Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried resetting using the CMOS jumper and removing the battery, then put just the 1.5V sticks in. Looks like the defaults don't work (no change).

Also tried lowering the voltage to 1.5V in the BIOS while running the 1.65V sticks. Powered off and put the 1.5V sticks in. No change (1.5V sticks still causing restarting).

Anything else I can try?
