Hey guys,

A buddy of mine is planning to build a new gaming rig this summer with an i7 2600k processor. We all know how well these can be overclocked, and he was thinking of buying a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ to cool it off at a stable 4.5ghz overclock.

As for the thermal compound, I'm thinking of getting the coollaboratory liquid pro. Although its the best of the best, I've heard that it contains gallium - thus you can't use it on an aluminum base heatsink.
[If you're wondering what happens - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaMWxLCGY0U]

My question is: Does the Hyper 212+ have an aluminum base, or a nickel-plated copper base?
If it is aluminum, could you guys reccomend me another great heatsink at around this price range?

Thanks.
