Building computer for gaming and 2-D & 3-D design, need two computers?

I want to use computer to play games and to make 2D and 3D animation and designs. ALso for Photoshop and other programs.

Should I build one computer for gaming and one for the 2-D and 3-D animation?

Should I just get a Mac Pro for the 2-D and 3-D animation?

One computer should be able to handle all that without a problem.
Unless you plan on doing that all at once? Like rendering huge 3D animation projects and wanting to game while you're waiting for the 3D rendering tasks to complete.
