Hello,
I can't get my hd 6870 to work with my Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H. I tried disabling the onboard video and got no video at all. Reset BIOS to show onboard video and am at a loss on how to get this card working. Any help would be great

What are your other computer specs? Did you install the driver using the supplied disk before putting the card in? Try using different ports from the card, and to the monitor. Lastly, make sure you're installing the correct driver. The 32-bit version won't work with a 64-bit system, and vis-versa.

okay I got the card to work now. However sometimes I get a bunch of pixels on my monitor, I re-seated it in the pcie slot and its working now, but sometimes still does it. It also lags during game start ups. Did I get a bad card?

I tried to take a screenshot, but the pixels didn't show up in it. They're mostly green pixels and they go away after a few seconds. They mostly start when I start up my pc or if I load a game.
