I think I'll go with the 5670 since it has the best bang for the buck, even though I'm going over $10 from my $70 budget. After looking on newegg, there are three versions of these cards. 2 with 512MB of DDR5 memory:
My question is, is it really worth $10 for more memory? I'm going to be running this to my HDTV over a HDMI connection at 1080p. What difference does it make? Are there cheaper cards with DDR3 memory? And if I get one of these cards, will Sapphire pay out any rebates? My decision was made after looking at the after rebate prices, $75 after rebate for 1GB and $65 after rebate for both 512MB cards.

Upgrading overheating XFX Nvidia GeForce 8600GT. I know my CPU is ancient, but it seems to be running fine under Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (before overheating and artifacts appear), some other games, and many Netflix DVD's and Blu-Rays I throw at it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
