Just wondering why my Sony memory card on my digital camera when being
transferred to my computer still has some previous picture transferring
also.
The card has been emptied but theses few photos still show up as well as my
new photos taken.
Can I get rid of them or is my memory card shot?

Try re-formating you card, this should wipe it clean.

It should be one of the fuctions on your camera. You manual for the
camera should say how to do it, it is normally under the set up menu or
some such thing. If you can't find it in the manual let me know.

One other thing to look at while you have the manual out. Some cameras
allow an image to be "locked" or "protected" which marks that image for
protection from being erased. Such a protected image would resist
deleting. A format should get rid of it, but otherwise it must be unlocked
or unprotected before it can be deleted in the normal manner. This can be
a good function when you want to make sure that a photo isn't accidently
deleted before you can get it backed up. But once you do back it up, you
will have to remember to unlock it before trying to delete. :)

You may have inserted a 'protect' feature on the card. Protected photos
can only be deleted if you 'unprotect' them or format the card in the
camera.
