Ok, So I am saving up money to build a PC for Audio production and gaming. I really want to get AMD, cause my last few builds were AMD and I like them. I was going to get a AM3+ board right now and get a 1100T, until the new processors (Bulldozer) comes out. My friend though, said I should think about going Intel for music production. What are your guys thoughts on this? I need some good power from CPU and RAM for Audio. Any thoughts will help!

Thanks!

No issues with AMD but Intel is currently dominating with its awesome performance. So please post your total budget and let's then get started figuring out the possible components for your rig.

Well in that case replace the motherboard and processor from my above suggested configuration with these -

1. Asus 990FX Sabertooth

2. AMD Phenom II X6 1100T

I have no idea how Bulldozer will turn out to be. Currently though, the Intel solutions are dominant and my recommendation will stay with them. Here's a comparison -
