Safe to run 460 from one molex adapter?

I recently ordered a second GTX 460 to SLI with the one I already have. My PSU is an Antec EA-650, which should be able to handle both cards if they're on separate rails. Now, the PSU only has 2 PCIe cables, so I'll have to do the molex-to-PCIe adapter route to power the second one. I have a 1:2 PCIe splitter lying around. Is it safe to run the card off of one molex-to-single-PCIe adapter, then through the PCIe splitter? I know I'm quibbling over a couple dollars here, but since I already have the splitter I might as well use it rather than buying a molex-to-2-PCIe adapter.

It should be yes, but just to be on the safe side, I wouldn't want to OC them too much (or even do it at all). Those molex adapters are always included with GPUs for a reason :)
