Hello, 2 weeks ago i shut my laptop down went to bed. next day laptop started up and had an x thru the internet icon bottom right corner, and said it had no wireless network available. out of nowhere it says no network available i have tried everything i know and a lot from help from hp and internet sites. still nothing and to top it off my lighscribe dvd player no longer exists and i tried all i could it came up and started playing a movie then went blank and said please insert a dvd no dvd in drive crazy stuff going insane help jd

Ignoring the DVD issue.

Try connecting the computer to the router with an ethernet cable and see if you can get internet. If so you need to do something with your wireless settings, possibly wireless security.

Familiarise yourself with the manual for the router so that you can access its setup screens.
