Desktop doesnt fit my monitor completely

Hello, so my monitor doesnt fit my monitor completely, im using a HDMI cable and my graphics card is a radeon HD 6870. how do i fix this?

i meant my desktop, and my resolution is at 1920 x 1080, but if i go 1600 x 900 it goes full screen

I'm not sure what you mean by your question, but check your monitor settings for scaling or something similar. Are you trying to use a resolution other than the native one?

i tried that but it doesnt let me choose between 1. Maintain aspect ratio
2.Scale image to full panel size and
3. Use centered timings

its all grey and i cant select the options
