Why does my new psu have 3 more wires than the old one

I bought a new psu and it has 3 more wires then the old one.Does this make a difference

What do you mean "3 more wires"? Do you mean 3 more sets of connectors? If so thats not a problem, the number of strings of a connectors a PSU has depends on its size, bigger ones have more than smaller ones. If you are instead referring to a specific connector having more wires than the old one did can you take a picture of it for us?

The 24 pin connector has 3 more wires.

What power supply do you have? The wires for the 24 pin main connector are pretty standard but your new one may have a +12V sense or something else added on.

The old one was a liteon,it came with my Lenovo ideacenter.the new one is a logisys.I bought it on e-bay was suppose to be compatible with my lenovo K210
